My First Ride on ZWIFT, Initial Thoughts & Plans For Winter Training

Some big news, I just did my first ever ride on ZWIFT! This is something that I’ve wanted to do for years, but just kept on procrastinating and never taking the first few steps..

Starting out on ZWIFT was actually a lot easier than I expected. You really only need a speed sensor or power meter to get going. Up until recently, I had neither, but I just got a set of new Favero Assioma Power Meter pedals that I have been using, meaning I can now connect to ZWIFT!

To connect my power meter to ZWIFT, I needed an ANT dongle, which I bought for cheap on Amazon. (You may also be able to do it with bluetooth as well)

Currently, I only have a set of rollers that I am using for training

However, I do not get nearly enough resistance with these, and they are a bit too loud for indoor cycling in a Japanese apartment (which has horrible sound insulation). So, I am looking for alternative solutions that won’t break the bank… Please leave them in the comments!

Also, please add me on ZWIFT and give ma Ride On if you see me. Hoping to log a lot of miles/KMs this upcoming winter season.
